On September 11, 2023, GZUC held a conference on Teachers’ Professional Ethics and Moral Instruction & Teacher’s Day Commendation at Hubin Conference Center. Members of GZUC CPC Committee, cadres at or above the department level, teacher representatives, “30 years of teaching” honorary recipients, and commended teachers attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Luo Bing, the Vice Secretary of GZUC CPC Committee and President of GZUC.
During the meeting, Lü Guofu, Secretary of GZUC CPC Committee, extended holiday greetings and warm wishes to the teachers and educators who have been dedicating themselves to teaching, management, and service at various positions within the university. He also expressed holiday greetings and sincere blessings to all retired faculty and staff who care about and contributed to the development of GZUC. Congratulations were also given to the commended teachers.
Vice President Zhang Yong declared the notification from the Ministry of Education about the second batch of nationally recognized undergraduate courses, as well as the list of award-winning teachers in the 5th, 6th, and 7th Teaching Competition of GZUC. Vice President Wen Daqiang declared the list of teachers awarded the 30 years of teaching honorary certificate by the provincial government in 2023, as well as GZUC’s decision to commend outstanding teachers and individuals who have made advanced contributions to the university’s education in 2023. Lastly, the university leaders presented awards to the commended teacher representatives to acknowledge their outstanding contributions and excellent work.
Seven teachers from Department of Foreign Languages(School of International Education) , Zhang Xiaohua, Fei Guanghui, Shi Jinyu, Li Jun, Chang Mengxue, Li Ruxian, and Zhu Qiulan, participated in the commendation ceremony. Zhang Xiaohua was honored as the “2023 GZUC Outstanding Teachers”. In the 5th GZUC Teaching Competition and the 2nd National Teaching Innovation Competition, Fei Guanghui won the second prize in the associate professor level, and Chang Mengxue won the second prize in the intermediate and below level. In the 6th GZUC Teaching Competition and 2022 Young Teachers Teaching Competition, Shi Jinyu won the second prize in the humanities category. In the 7th GZUC Classroom Teaching Competition and the 3rd National University Teaching Innovation Competition, Li Jun, Chang Mengxue and Li Ruxian won the second prize in the basic course group, and Zhu Qiulan won the third prize in the basic course group.
After the meeting, Vice President Wen Daqiang, Secretary of CPC Branch of Department of Foreign Languages (School of International Education), Yan Yong, Han Jun, Dean of Department of Foreign Languages (School of International Education), and Vice Dean Wang Yang praised the awarded teachers and took photos with them.
