On July 7th, 2023, 2023 Pan-Pearl River Delta Regional Cooperation Chief Executives Joint Meeting was held at Guizhou Hotel International Conference Center. This meeting had a high level and numerous important guests, making it an important platform for Guizhou to strengthen regional cooperation and showcase its image. As the host, Guizhou Province CPC Committee and Guizhou Province Government attached great importance to it and demanded high-quality organization, management, and service for this meeting. Guizhou Hotel Co., Ltd., the organizer of this meeting, has a long-term internship and employment cooperation with the School of International Education. They contacted the School as soon as they received the task, hoping to send students with a professional attitude and work ethic to support the reception service of this meeting. The School attached great importance to this and, despite students’ final exams, actively coordinated and arranged for 23 student volunteers to participate in the reception service of this meeting after a rigorous selection process. After strict training, the students maintained a high level of political consciousness and excellent moral qualities in their reception service. With their outstanding business skills and tenacious work style, they successfully completed the volunteer service of this meeting, receiving praise from Ms. Peng Qiujie, the Executive General Manager of Guizhou Hotel.
After the meeting, Guizhou Hotel held a special summary meeting to commend the outstanding volunteers and award certificates to the students who participated in the reception service. Han Jun, Dean of the School of International Education attended the summary and commendation meeting, praised the students for their outstanding performance, expressed gratitude to Guizhou Hotel for providing an excellent platform for students’ practical training, and proposed directions for further deepening cooperation between the two parties.
