In order to fully implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and the important principles on education by CPC General Secretary Xi Jinping, and to continuously strengthen the integrity education of college students, promote the work of support and educate GZUC students, a stage play titled “Calling on Integrity” performed by GZUC students entered the finals of the 2023 “Integrity Cultivates Virtue, Trust Forges Character” Integrity-themed Stage Play Competition and Integrity Short Video Creative Works Selection in Guizhou Province, and won the first prize in the finals held on July 7th. In the Integrity Short Video Creative Works Selection, GZUC students won the “Creative Performance Award”. Among them, three students are from the School of International Education, Zhao Xiaomeng and Cao Linghan from grade 2021 of Exhibition Economy and Management major (Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education) , and Zhang Kexuan from grade 2022.
The short video tells the story of a college student whose family tea garden suffers severe damage due to a natural disaster, and her family suffers a lot. She applies for a national student loan to continue her studies. When she is about to graduate from university, she is inspired by the idea that “new media is the future” and decides to return to her hometown. She uses live-streaming and other methods to open up sales channels for local products. However, an ecommerce lives-treamer asks her to sell counterfeit and inferior products to make money. Confused, she remembers GZUC’s motto of “integrity molds character, application leads to success”, and firmly believes that “integrity is the basic virtue”. She insists on promoting high-quality products and eventually achieves success in her career.
During this integrity education activity, the students of the School of International Education rehearsed and polished the stage play repeatedly, and through their infectious performance, they demonstrated the quality of the students of the School of International Education. At the same time, it enhances the integrity awareness of contemporary college students and achieves the educational significance of “integrity cultivates virtue, trust forges character”.
