In order to conscientiously implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of CPC and the work deployment of the Ministry of Education and the Provincial Department of Education regarding "Visiting Enterprises to Expand Employment" and continue to promote the "Special Action for University Secretaries and Principals to Visit Enterprises to Expand Jobs and Promote Employment", on July 6th, 2023, Luo Bing, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and President of GZUC, led a delegation to the Guiyang Free Trade Zone to carry out the “Special Action of Visiting Enterprises to Expand Jobs”.
Luo Bing and the delegation first visited Sinopharm Group Guizhou Co. Ltd and the Guizhou (Guiyang) Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park to gain first-hand knowledge about the businesses and talent demand.
Subsequently, both parties held discussions on university-enterprise cooperation, industry prospects, talent supply and demand, internships, and employment. During the meeting, Gao Sheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Administrative Committee of the Guiyang Free Trade Zone, as well as Xiao Lunwen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Zone, welcomed the visit of GZUC delegation and introduced the development situation of the Guiyang Free Trade Zone. Chen Yingyong, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee of GZUC, introduced the basic situation of the university's majors and expressed gratitude for the warm reception from the Guiyang Free Trade Zone and the support for talent cultivation and employment at GZUC.
Luo Bing expressed his hopes for deep collaboration between the Guiyang Free Trade Zone and the university in promoting employment, practical internships, talent development, training, scientific research, and other areas. He proposed the establishment of a regularized cooperation mechanism, strengthening comprehensive cooperation between the university and enterprises in the fields of industry, teaching, and research, and improving the quality of talent development to better meet the demands of the industry.
Both parties held a signing ceremony of strategic cooperation and base awarding ceremony. GZUC and the Guiyang Free Trade Zone will collaborate in talent development, industry-education integration, and university-enterprise linkage to promote resource sharing and common development. They would establish the "Guiyang Free Trade Zone·Off-campus Practical Teaching Base of GZUC" and "Talent Development Base of Guiyang Free Trade Zone " to promote deep integration of industry and education and the cultivation of talents between the college and enterprises.
The leaders of the Department of Student Affairs, the Center of Practical Teaching, and the Party Branch Secretaries and Deans of various schools accompanied the visit. This visit to the enterprises for job expansion deepens the practical cooperation between the college and enterprises, strengthens face-to-face communication and understanding between the university and companies, and will provide better platforms and channels for student practice and employment.
