After fully listening to the opinions of the participants, Lyu Guofu emphasized the following points: Firstly, it is important to make declarations for majors with good "growth potential". In the undergraduate major settings of the university, we should solidify and strengthen majors in engineering and science that have good growth potential. Based on market research, professional demonstrations, and other forms of evaluation, we should focus on adding value to majors and implement the top-level design of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government's "Strengthening Engineering Disciplines" policy. Secondly, it is necessary to enhance the digitization transformation and upgrade of existing business-related majors. Research and demonstration should be carried out for each major to break down the barriers between disciplines, deepen interdisciplinary integration, innovate organizational forms of disciplines, and digitally transform existing majors. This will enable the complementary advantages and cross-integration of new business, new liberal arts, and new engineering. Thirdly, it is essential to implement a target responsibility system. Taking majors as a guide, we will establish a working group responsible for the declaration of newly added majors. Meanwhile, the Academic Affairs Office will lead in-depth research, and each school will carefully plan the optimization, upgrade, and transformation of new business-related majors.

Luo Bing pointed out the following: Firstly, it is important to strengthen engineering majors. We should promote the digital transformation of various majors of GZUC, enhance the research and declaration of engineering projects, improve the positioning of professional teachers, strengthen the construction of teaching and research teams, and increase the number of experimental courses. Secondly, it is necessary to moderately expand the scale of majors. According to the talent development goals of each major, we should carry out optimization and adjustment of majors, moderately expand the scale of major construction, pay attention to personalized teaching methods, and adjust the curriculum system design based on employment quality and prospects. Thirdly, it is important to plan for the establishment of master's programs in advance. According to the requirements for the establishment of master's programs, we should plan for the construction of disciplinary majors in advance and further improve the layout of engineering majors.
