On May 10, 15:00, GZUC and ICMS held a meeting to promote Sino-foreign cooperative educational project in the second conference room of the Hubin Convention Center. Wen Daqiang, member of the Party Committee and Vice President of GZUC, and Jackie Chang, Vice President of the Institutional Alliance of ICMS, Wang Wei, Director of the China Office of ICMS, Cheng Zhixiang, Director of Department of Teachers Affairs of GZUC, Liu Lingling, Director of the Academic Affairs Office of GZUC, Tang Xuemei, Director of Office of Student Affairs of GZUC, Zhang Qinghua, Deputy Director of Office of Scientific Research of GZUC, Yan Yong, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the School of International Education of GZUC, Han Jun, Dean of the School of International Education of GZUC, Wang Yang, Deputy Dean of the School of International Education of GZUC, attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Wen Daqiang, member of the Party Committee and Vice President of GZUC.

At the beginning of the meeting, the two sides reviewed the existing cooperation progress and discussed how to consolidate and further expand the cooperation between the two universities under the background of the normalization of epidemic prevention and control. During the meeting, Department of Teachers Affairs, Academic Affairs Office, Office of Scientific Research and Office of Student Affairs exchanged opinions on the preparation for the first evaluation of the 2024 project by the Ministry of Education, the construction of the teacher database for project cooperation, the overseas training of university teachers, the teaching management and scientific research related work of Australian teachers coming to the university to teach, and enrollment and employment. The two sides indicated that they would continue to deepen cooperation in the fields of studying abroad, sharing educational resources, and jointly undertaking scientific research projects, relying on the Sino-foreign cooperative education project platform.

Wen Daqiang stressed that the construction task of Sino-foreign cooperative education projects is heavy with many evaluation indicators. School of International Education and all other departments should seriously implement the spirit of the meeting, to evaluate and promote construction, check leaks and make up for shortcomings, coordinate, standardize management, improve quality, cultivate the first batch of students well, and enhance the influence and popularity of the project.
